Get ready to explore the colorful world of nature in this hands-on 4 day camp! In Stitch & Bloom, youth will dive into the science and art of natural dyeing using plant-based materials like marigold flowers and indigo leaves. We’ll experiment with tie-dye and traditional Shibori techniques to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind fabric.
Once we’ve dyed our fabrics, students will learn basic sewing skills to turn their creations into a final product—such as a tote bag, pillow, or simple garment. This class is perfect for young makers who love to explore, create, and experiment with color and design.
