Erica Millbrooks
Founder. Host. Instructor. Designer.
Erica's desire is to see the community come together to support the art and talent of the sewing community. She loves funky designs, geometric shapes, and learning the history of sewing.
Erica holds a degree in Fashion Design and has owned Erica M Studios for over 20 years with highlights in alterations, bridal design, and quilting.
Anita Johnson
Media Specialist. Creative. Enthusiast.
Anita's specialty lies in building and adding support for small business ventures through media consultancy, UX design, and product design. She moved to Grand Rapids, MI to be closer to her sister Erica, and together will continue to foster their creative juices through the sewing academy.
She loves fostering community, geneology, and egnites a room through her enthusiasm.
In Loving Memory: Anita Johnson
Before Anita's short journey of battling cancer, she was excited to launch the sewing academy alongside her sister Erica, to provide a creative spark in the Grand Rapids community.
If you had the honor of knowing Anita's charm, inspiration, and healing enthusiasm, she has asked for donations to be made to the sewing academy. Your donation will help provide students with the necessary supplies and cover their fees to attend one or more six-week sessions, ensuring they have the opportunity to learn and grow in our Sewing Academy.
